1,2,3, Are you with me I never know It never shows I hear your praise I feel your gaze But what’s it mean? Am I obscene To hate it all To want to stall To want no more To close the door It’s not enough But all too much We don’t know what we’re wanting anymore We are a pair A paradox A sweet release A little peace Is all I want So nonchalant But when its quiet My brain’s a riot I need the wall Your urban sprawl To clear my mind From time to time I need a friend With soul to spend Alone I’ve found My fears abound In groups its shown I need to be alone We are a pair A paradox

No one who was pardoned Ever called me by my name No one got my heart in I was in them all the same If you need some explanation You didn’t know me very well It became incarceration It became a living hell But I’m the master of impressions A chameleon of a man I can take your best intensions Make them putty in my hand You think that you see me But you only see the mask I hope’d that you could really see me But it was far too much to ask You could never ever know it And I’m sorry if you tried I could never ever show it If you looked me in the eyes Cause I’m the master of impressions A chameleon of a man I can take your best impression Make them putty in my hand Yeah, I’m the master of impressions A chameleon of a man I can take your best impression Make them putty in my hand

I am not excited I am not insane You could take me back to when I’d never heard your name It’d be the same If your expectation Wasn’t quite in line Maybe now you’ll wonder how I did it all these times The clock it chimes All the times we argued All the times we shamed Such a loud and bitter cloud we fathomed and we blamed But never claimed If you hesitated That might bring you down Don’t erase the time and space that brought you all these sounds Don’t let it drown

Obsolete 05:18
A steady rain pours The shopkeepers are closing up their stores The kids are off the streets They found this town is far too obsolete And nothing feels the same Even though it’s always been this way If it’s different now today It’s only just the people that have changed My head’s ringing with ghosts Each trying to prove their value is the most I know I have to leave But something here’s been clinging onto me But nothing feels the same Even though it’s always been this way But if it’s different now today It’s only just the people that have changed A steady rain pours The shopkeepers are closing cupboard drawers The kids are off the streets They found this town is far too obsolete It feels already-gone, But somewhere in this quiet spirits linger on But it's not who live today Their hearts were never passioned Never fashioned in that way.

No Regrets 04:45
I take it back but I have no regrets I wasn’t right, I wasn’t so beset I wasn’t right, but no one really was I still don’t know, and still nobody does I take it back but I have no regrets I am alive thats as good as it gets I am alive I will cannot throw away The things I am that brought me to today I take it back but I have no regrets I’m not the kind who easily forgets The ways I felt at any given time I’m slow to change, but finally feeling fine

about

SoundsofRVA.org says: "Five tracks of soft rock or folk music serenade the listener. The album opens with “A Pair, A Paradox,” a catchy little tune that plays with words. The refrain makes use of vocal harmonies to expand the sound, and the “chuck” guitar sends it to borderline reggae territory. The aforementioned guitar drops off as Gibbons’ vocals enter, and percussion is minimal. Gibbons recalls Andrew Bird (sans whistle and loops) or Fleet Foxes, a high tenor melding with several contrasting and complementary intervals."
